Welcoming the New Year 2010

For the night of December 31 2009, into the morning of January 1, 2010 we were happy to be in the home of the Satko family, along with some of our friends. We began the wait for midnight with games like "Catchphrase" and "Mad Gab". Once the new year hit, the kids were blowing their horns, adults were banging pots and pans, and we all had a great time.

The Satkos are friends of our family as we go to church together in Maple Valley, Washington at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

The Satko's are related as follows:

Bob and Chris Satko have 7 children, Beth, Kim, Mike, Emily,
Laura, Christina and Allison.
Beth is married to Josh Willis and they have 3 children
(2 are pictured previously) Shannon, Emma and Hannah.
Kim is married to Bob Higueria and has 2 children Caleb and Isabelle.
Mike is married to Shari (but were already on
their trek back to Utah before the New Year).
Emily is married to Neil Robison.
Laura is married to Brian Olsen,
and Christina and Allison are still at home with Bob and Chris.

The Churchills also go to the same church with all of us and are good long-time friends of the Satkos. Camille and Randy live down the street from the Satkos.
